An interactive session between Prof. Jamaine Abidogun and postgraduate students of NOUN held earlier today at the lecture theatre of the Model Study Centre, Dutse Alhaji, Abuja.

The event is being initiated by the U.S. Embassy to assist our post graduate students on the modus operandi to writing academic papers and preparation of research work.

Principal officers present at the event include; The Vice-Chancellor, represented by Dr. Samaila Mande; Dean, Post Graduate Studies, The registrar, represented by Dr. Muyiwa Akintola; DR Academic Office, Dr. Ganiyat Uthman-Adeshina; Dean Faculty of Social Sciences,  Mrs. Abimbola Adeniyi, Deputy Director (counseling), Dutse Alhaji, Mr. Dele Durojaiye; Deputy Bursar, Abuja Model Study Centre, Ms. Ada Chiagoro; DR PG School and Prof. Hakeem Ibikunle Tijani, Director of the special study centre for the NURTW, who anchored the event.

The guest lecturer, Prof. Jamaine Abidogun is a Fulbright Scholar and Professor Emeritus with a Ph.D in Curriculum and Instruction in Secondary Education from Missouri State University, United States. The paper which she presented was titled “Academic Writing”.

It was an interactive session as students were given the opportunity to ask questions, which were eventually answer by the guest lecturer.

The Vice-Chancellor in his closing remarks appreciated Prof. Abidogun for her tremendous effort in adding to the knowledge of students all over and also appointed her as a Facilitator/Faculty member of the NOUN business school.

As a facilitator she will assist in the supervision of PG students in the faculty of education of the university.
